Matthew Simunovic
Matthew Simunovic is Professor of Ophthalmology & Visual Science at the University of Sydney, where he leads the Retinal Disease and Rescue Group. He holds concurrent clinical appointments as a senior consultant ophthalmic surgeon at Sydney Eye Hospital and the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, where he subspecialises in surgery and diseases of the retina in children and adults. Prof. Simunovic's research interests include emerging treatments for retinal diseases (including gene and cellular therapies), experimental vitreoretinal surgery and visual psychophysics.
