Priority 14 from the Multiple Conditions in Later Life PSP

UNCERTAINTY: How can cognitive decline due to lack of sensory stimulation or input be prevented in people who are older and experiencing multiple conditions? (JLA PSP Priority 14)
Overall ranking 14
JLA question ID 0064/14
Explanatory note This question came from both health professionals and carers. Health professionals worded their concerns very much in the way that the question is asked. However, carers voiced their concerns in a more indirect manner. For example, they would ask whether their relative's cognitive decline could be due to the fact that they didn’t see anyone or do anything all day in their care home?
