About this Priority Setting Partnership 

Between 1 in 3, increasing to 1 in 2 people will be affected with diverticular disease during their lifetime including the rising rates in younger people.

Diverticular Disease affects the large bowel and encompasses a number of different conditions. The PSP will identify unanswered questions about the causes, diagnosis, treatment, management (including prevention) and support for people with diverticular disease.

The Diverticular Disease PSP is being funded by Guts UK Charity and Bowel Research UK.

The shortlisting survey launched in November 2024.
