Perianal Crohn’s Disease (Global)

About this Priority Setting Partnership

Perianal Crohn’s disease is a common manifestation of Crohn’s disease occurring in around 18.7% of all patients. It is a highly morbid condition, which significantly impacts the quality of life, encompassing the burden of the disease and symptoms itself, as well as the burden of treatments.

Launched in 2024, the Global Perianal Crohn’s Disease PSP will work with patients, carers and clinicians internationally to identify and prioritise uncertainties about aetiology, definitions and classifications, diagnosis and investigations, treatments, post-surgical concerns and all aspects of the patient pathway.

The scope of the PSP will include both adult and paediatric populations.
